“Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god…”
Every bend in the road led us to an even more breathtaking view. The sun was warm, the wind caressed our faces, and the jungle was getting thicker. We had left the pine forest and cool mountain air and were riding our motorbikes down to the ocean.
But the sea was definitely not the destination… we were on a road trip. My first by motorbike and my first as a driver. The destination was the road. And we were on it. (Or in it, maybe…)
I was overflowing with joy and gratitude for every sensation, every view. The odd pothole, patch of gravel or occasional truck just added to the feeling of being totally and utterly absorbed by the road.
It was that feeling of being in a moment and realizing that you’ll remember it forever.
The more moments you have that are like this, the easier it seems to cultivate more. They are possible every single day.
If you haven’t had one in a while, I’d definitely recommend a good road trip.
